I have a table with some fields. When i do a query i want to get the total prices. I have tried to use sum but that does not work as i want it to. I am thinking i will have to loop through the row and sum up of them to get a final grant total. However i dont know to do this. i have searched the web with no success. Thank you all for your help.

sometimmes i wonder how i develope site like www.pricewatchersjamaica.com , www.myplace-ontime.com or www.autoimpressionslimited.com and dont know about mysql sum. The problem was that though i was using the sum function i was not using the right column name to do the group by, there fore i was not getting the right sum. Boy i really need to do better.
