Typically, im getting like 100 per day... the good thing is, spam stays in the spam box and my mail gets delivered to me. But is your gmail spam box getting out of control?

Possible that they're selling my email addy to spammers and making a quiet profit?

Yes spam levels are definitely high as ever. However Gmail Selling contact info.. (NOT LIKELY).

I know the reason for me getting spam. I registered mmy gmail address with hotmail via the passport feature so i could login to msn messenger with my gmail address.

This is clearly the dummest thing I've ever done in my entire tech Career. This opened up my mail box to spam and annoying forwards.... it was like letting Persians through th hotgates

ROFL, i have signed up to a few forums and such on my gmail, so i assume they are the reason why i get some spam, but the spam levels are manageable. Definately better than my yahoo spam levels. SO i'm not complaining, what i cant understand is the whole heap a japanese spam i get on gmail ... i dont even sign up to any japanese websites lol

the whole japanese email thing odd as well. I'ld say i get anywhere between 40 - 50 spamm messages per day. I use no other email service than gmail anymore so I dont know about comparative figures.

I prefer yahoo mail, i rarely use my gmail account. i dont like the way google slowly takin over the world, sounds like M$ back in the day. u soon hear say them create them own office suit and OS

In my opinion yahoo went over board with the use of ajax And made the page unnecessarily slow. And if thats not the reason I dont know what it is then. But loading time for mail is too slugish. Gmail got the right blend.. I really wish we could kill spam though. Spam busting algorithm have been getting smarter however the spam bots and spammers haven't been sleeping either. I've realize that there are bots that can even read captcha images. I dont understand how it works. I dont know how they get the textual equivalent for sure.

But after looking at a site called whatdafont i have an idea. That site can pick and image with text and tell you what is written on it. It never alway gets it but it does come close many times. with little or not correction. Now apply brute force to that and what do you have. you have a smart / determined spam bot that will annoy the crap out of the world.

i prefer my gmail a/c

my problem is with the spam controls lately, kinda confusing when I get emails form the same address with some in spam and some in my main inbox.

basically I think the spam controllers been kinda messed up lately and I still need folder support!!!!!!!!!!

um... google already has google docs still ... and that + all the other stuff them offer, them basically have a OS already lol.

Yahoo too damn slow and all i get in yahoo is spam spam spam.

I dont know wat infidel do y gmail blocking his regular emails but i've never gotten a regular email blocked before
