How Do i Add a forum avatar

 

 

The Forum avatar is linked to your main profile's avatar for the entire site (tech.in876.com). The same image used for your unified profile is used for the forum just resized.

To Upload an avatar Select the Set My Avatar link in the forum, or you may go directly to your profile via the quick links menu and add / update your profile image.

How Do I insert a url into my posts

 

 

The Tech.in876.com forums use's bb code mark up to display urls. Example bbcode for url is

[url][/url]

To insert a url to another site you place an =sign after the word url in the first bbcode tag and assign the address of the site to the url. Example: linking to another site (http://events.in876.com). We do this by

[url=http://events.in876.com]whatever text you would like to display[/url]

*note I used http on the url. This is absolutley neccessary for the link to work properly.

How do i Insert Images into posts

 

 

Images can be inserted into your posts by two methods.

• Hot linking
• Attachment
  

If you chose to go with option one. you may utilize hotlinking services offered by photobucket [ a free image host ]. Other wise option 2 will be utilizing the tech.in876.com forums it self. attach a image to your post via the upload form element (see image below)

How Do I Make a forum signature

 

 

Your Signature will be displayed under every post that you make within the tech.in876.com forums. Your signature can be a personal qoute of text or an image. which ever you desire / prefer.

To add an image in your signature head to your profile via the Quick Links menu. Select update your profile from the edit submenu. You will be presented with the basic profile information for the forums as well as additional information on the other tabs. For your image signature utilize the bbcode for inserting img into posts

[img size=width][/img]*set the size to the width of the signature image *

Therefore to insert an image with a width of 400px from a free image hosting site into your signature you would insert the following your signature

[img size=400]http://freeimagehositngsiteyouuse/images/yoursignature.jpg[/img]

For a text based signature, enter your text in the signature box as you would type a post entry then update your profile.
